Secret teachings of Jesus Christ do not exist

by Theodore Wright.

Someone may have told you this but do you believe it just because somebody says so? Here is the Biblical proof that reveals, ever so clearly, that Jesus Christ did NOT have any secret teachings…

Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing.” – John 18:20 (NKJV)

Did Jesus then teach openly but have his disciples keep matters secret later? NO!

“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.” – Matthew 10:27 (NKJV)

Secrecy was not the way of Jesus Christ. Such are the ways of those who do subtle evil and mischief. He never approved of this.

For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. – Ephesians 5:12-13 (NKJV)

What writings are there showing “secret teachings” of Jesus?

Can they prove these teachings are actually from Jesus Christ Himself and not some later invention? Or is it, they will say, that they can’t show these teachings because they are secret? If they say this, then they really have no evidence then, do they? Did Jesus ever say He had such secret teachings? It is evident that is the contrary. Why do they expect others to believe them when they cannot demonstrate proper evidence? Their bluff has been called.

Is not the real reason they say that Jesus Christ had secret teachings in order to dissuade Christians to accept their own mystical religion? Many have tried using syncretisic methods in order to recruit others to their own ways. The ones who generally accept these are ones who are willing to close their eyes to what is provable and believe only what they want to. Perhaps, it is that you are the victim of such false teachings. If so, repent!

What was secret was the plan of God that the gospel of the free gift of eternal life and forgiveness of all sins through trusting faith in the divine person and work of Jesus Christ would be preached to the world. However, this is now revealed openly through Jesus Christ. We are commanded to preach it!

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith— to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. – Romans 16:25-27 (NKJV)
