NOT CHRIST’S TRUE CHURCH AFTER ALL
The Roman Catholic Church is NOT the church which Christ founded. There is no proof in the teachings of Christ nor of the Apostles in support of this church as His one true and only church. Christ’s true church began Pentecost of 33 A.D. (or rather 29 A.D. more accruately) and was later referred to as being “catholic”, meaning universal, by the early church leader Ignatius. The Roman Catholic Church, which came into existence in the late 4th Century, unrightfully usurped this title for itself exclusively, in contradiction of the true universality of Christ’s church. Hence, the modern Catholic church is not Christ’s universal catholic church of ancient times.
CHRIST’S CHURCH IS THE PEOPLE NOT AN INSTITUTION
Christ’s true church is everyone who places trusting faith in God solely through Him for salvation. His church has existed throughout the ages of history, not restricted to a denomination, but existing as His people themselves. The greek word for church is εκκλησια “ekklesia” meaning “called out ones”. Therefore, the people of Christ, not an institutional church such as the Roman Catholic church or even any denominational church, is the true universal church of Christ.
A FALSE RELIGIOUS SYSTEM
Due to that the Roman Catholic Church does not teach salvation solely through faith in Christ but insists that its own religious system of works also as requirement for salvation, this church does not even qualify to be one true Christian church among many others. With great certainty it is said that the Roman Catholic denomination is not Christ’s one true and only Christian church. The old idols of Rome were not destroyed, only the names were changed to preserve its pagan religion in midst of growing Christianity in the world.
PAGAN ROOTS REVEALED
ROMAN PAGANISM + CHRISTIAN TERMINOLOGY = ROMAN CATHOLICISM
The “Mother of Harlots” as described in Revelation chapters 17 and 18 is a portrayal of the Roman Catholic religious institution. The Roman Catholic church did not destroy the old Roman pagan idols, it merely changed the names of them to Christian saints. The renaming of idols does not “Christianize” them and the practice of this has never been accepted by God. Bowing down to graven images is forbidden by God in His 10 commandments.
FLEE FROM THE FALSE CHURCH
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. – Revelation 18:4-5
God exhorts His people to come out of her else they will suffer the plagues of her condemnation from God. If you are one of God’s people in the Roman Catholic Church then as such you will be obedient to His commandment and leave the Roman church. With your faith true in Jesus Christ, you are released from the bondage of being a cathoholic to find fellowship in a good Bible-believing church instead.
REWARD HER DOUBLE
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow giver her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. – Revelation 18:6-7
God instructs us in His word that we should reward her double for all the evils of her wicked boastful self pride. Therefore, we are to expose the evils of the Roman church twice as much as any other pseudo-Christian religious cult and to speak against her doubly for each of her self-exaltations over the true Christ and her contradictions to the true gospel.
Anyone can place their faith in Jesus Christ to be saved and they do not need to be Roman Catholic to be saved. Spiritually speaking, true Christians are to be far from Rome and near to God.
GOD’S JUDGEMENT ON THE FALSE CHURCH
One day in the future, God Himself will put an end to this evil institution…
Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death and mourning: and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her: – Revelation 18:8
YOUR HOPE FOR PEACE WITH GOD
Dear friend, if you are a Roman Catholic with no doubt you must be quite grieved over what you have just read here. Do know that you will find the peace of God and forgiveness of all your sins through the Lord Jesus Christ as you place your complete and undivided trusting faith in God solely in His Son Jesus Christ for your salvation. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.
By faith alone in Jesus Christ, and none other, you will break the hold of the abusive religious parentage of the Roman Catholic Church which has held you in its bondage. Catholicism is a religious addiction not after Christ but in opposition to Him as sole Savior and only source of salvation.
